ARE you all sick and tired of the EU Referendum?

I certainly am but having voted No in 1975 little has changed my mind over the past 40 or so years.

Europe is a very nice place.

The European Union is altogether less pleasant where the unelected take a great deal of money off us and spend it with little or no accountability.

In return we get a lot of mainly low paid labour putting massive social and financial cost on the public services that our taxpayers born here, have been funding for all of their lives.

The people who want to stay in the EU are all groups with vested interests such as the politicians, quangos, and public sector who all get a slice of the money back for their benefit.

Business too benefits from cheap labour but at the expense of more British unemployment.

I would gladly pay the “cost” of Project Fear in cash to be rid of Merkel and Juncker but when listening to the predictions of doom and gloom bear in mind that a certain local politician did not, a few years ago with his chum Cameron, even know the price of a pint of milk!

We may have had a few victories to prevent Germany taking over Europe but they have succeeded handsomely via the EU.

When it comes to negotiating, our government ranks on terms with the England Football team, who are now celebrating not winning anything for the past 50 years.

If you vote Remain you will get even more “Europe” and have very little say in it as one of many states with a vote and probably have to pay even more towards funding their deficits.

If you vote Leave it is unlikely that you will get much less Europe but we might have a little more say in how things work.

Easyjet won’t stop flying to Malaga and Booths car park will still be full of BMWs. That is Realpolitik for you.

Almost certainly a thin margin to leave will be ignored in any event.

How will I vote? At least I can’t be accused of changing my mind put perhaps Boris might give me my nice blue British passport back.

Either way make your own mind up!
