LEADERS Shaw Heath have started to pull away at the top of the Knutsford and District Amateur Snooker League table.
An impressive 6-1 victory over Morley Green in week 12 of the competition underlined their status as the current team to beat, with their lead at the summit now at five points.
Second-placed Mobberley C kept the pressure on the leaders with a 4-3 win over Tatton C in a game that featured a 100-plus score for either side from Mobberley’s Alex Chaplin and Tatton’s Chris Parker.
Defending champions Tatton A kept their hopes of holding onto their crown alive, with their 6-1 win over Mobberley A moving them up to third in the table while debutants Heald Green are just behind them in fourth, with Leo Mullen’s 109-point frame starring in their 4-3 win over Mere B.
