VICTORY Hall A are near-certain to claim the Knutsford Friday League title for a third successive season after beating Goostrey A in their penultimate match.
It leaves them 114 chalks clear of closest rivals Knutsford A, who won at Church Inn B to make their rivals wait another week to be crowned as champions again.
Railway A concluded the campaign with a win on their travels to Knutsford B, but Railway B were the section’s highest scorers after posting 156 at home to Swettenham A.
Mere B brushed aside third-placed Chelford A to ensure they finish first in Division Two.
Victory Hall B made the most of that result, strengthening their hold on second spot after racking up 157 at home to Goostrey B.
They host Chelford on Friday.
Oughtrington A, victors at home to Church Inn A, are only 24 points adrift of a promotion place too with one match of the season left.
