SAM Jackson has become only the ninth player in Knutsford and District League history to have his name etched on the Jay Trophy and Rotary Cup in the same season.
A run of 49 in the second frame was a highlight of the Mere man's semi-final success against Paul Townsend (Tatton) before he saw off Scott Marshall - who had ended the run of Shaw Heath teammate Jamie Way - in the final at Mobberley.

FOUR members from Mere contested the Jack Tulley Memorial Young Player of the Year competition for under 23s on Sunday.
Jack Bushell retained a title he won last season, edging brother Mark into second spot at the end of a round robin.
Matthew Owen was third, and Peter Jackson fourth.

Meanwhile Shaw Heath collected the points they needed to secure the second promotion place, behind Morley B, by thrashing Wilmslow Cons B in Division Two.
Wilmslow RBL have to settle for third position after winning at Mobberley E, while Mobberley C finished on a high with a 6-1 success against Mere A.
Arthur Faux led the way for Morley B in a comfortable 5-2 win against back-markers Mere C, amassing 100 points in his frame.
Chris Parker (Brook St B) and Mike Sullivan (Wilmslow Cons A) set a league record for the slowest frame during their teams' Division One encounter, clocking in a 76 minutes.
The former was a narrow victor.
Wilmslow Cons A slip to fourth after losing at relegated Mere B, while captain Paul Hart knocked in a season-high break of 57 for Morley A in a 5-2 win at Brook Street A.
Mobberley B whitewashed Brook Street B, while champions Mobberley A proved too strong for Tatton.
