MARK Newall edged Mobberley clubmate Tony Crompton in a race against the clock on Wednesday.
He potted most reds in 60 seconds during the final of the fun competition at Victory Hall, where each of the league’s teams were represented.
Each player had three one-minute visits to sink as many red balls as they could.
Mobberley duo Steve Flinders and Mike Roylance were losing semi-finalists.

Morley A proved too strong for back-markers Brook Street B, with a 103-point frame for Graham Walls the highlight.
Wilmslow Cons A won all seven frames at Brook Street A, while champions Mobberley A won 6-1 at home to Mere B.
Mobberley B stay third in the table following a 5-2 win at Tatton.
There is no change at the Division Two summit, where the leading duo both recorded 5-2 wins.
Brian Foden starred for table-toppers Morley B, scoring 105 points in his frame success at Mere C.
Second-placed Shaw Heath proved too strong for Wilmslow Cons B.
Wilmslow RBL’s win against Mobberley E propels them to third position above Mobberley C, who squeezed past Mere A on aggregate.
