KNUTSFORD ran in four tries to secure back-to-back wins in the North West Colts League.

Blues took the lead when in-form Luke Shaw, who touched down six tries in last week's crushing of Aldwinians, crossed the whitewash in the corner after skipper Fergus Grieves opted against kicking a penalty in front of the posts.

The visitors were rewarded following a spell of pressure with a converted score of their own to edge ahead.

However Knutsford established an interval lead when their forwards created space for Ted Parr to power over.

They had to weather a storm from their opponents in the second period, although Ollie Meagher gave stretched their lead with a fine breakaway try.

The combative Declan Yoxhall capped a fine display at centre with the hosts' fourth score.

They visit Wirral-based Oxton Parkonians, who have an identical record of two wins from their first three matches, this Sunday.

Knutsford's seniors endured an afternoon to forget, conceding 13 tries in an 83-5 reverse at Marple in Cheshire South.

Blues will attempt to end a three-match sequence without a win when they entertain Oswestry this Saturday, kick off 3pm.
