Brook Street A moved nine points clear of the relegation zone following a narrow 4-3 victory against Mobberley C.

Mere C’s upturn in fortune continued in Division Two, a 4-3 success against Mobberley D marking the first time they have won back-to-back matches.

Leaders Brook Street B dropped three points to their guests Wilmslow Cons B, but are four clear of Mere B after they suffered a surprise whitewash against clubmates Mere A.

Elsewhere, Royal London rise two places to fourth following a routine win against lowly Mobberley E.

Holder Mark Newall crashed out of the Redwood Hire Champions Trophy at the divisional semi-finals stage to Mobberley clubmate Mike Roylance.

Bruce Tulley, also of Mobberley, saw off Morley’s Mike Richmond to reach the last four.

In the Division Two qualifiers, Ralph Robertson (Wilmslow Cons B) edged Mere A’s Alec Wright while Brook Street B’s Will Cowley proved too strong for Leung Yu (Mobberley D).
