EGERTON hope to play for the first time since November on Saturday, when Penlake are their guests in the Cheshire League’s JA Walton Challenge Cup.
The Knutsford outfit were denied again by the weather from resuming their campaign at Congleton Vale last weekend.
They occupy fifth place in Group One ahead of a clash with opponents they have played twice already this term.
Those two contests yielded 15 goals, including five in a victory for Graham Egerton’s men when they last met back in August.
The Mereheath Lane club’s second string are due at their Malpas counterparts in the Reserve Division Challenge Cup on Saturday.
