Clubmate Dave Clamp placed narrowly outside of the top 50, while John Goggins, Andy Dines, Pete Openshaw, Rob Garner and Paul Wain all classified inside the top 100.

Together they helped Knutsford Tri to seventh in the team standings, while Clamp claimed class honours in the men's over 55s category.

Mills was 31st to finish in the senior women’s race, running just over 7km in 38:28.

Karen Richardson, in 45th, was close behind in 40:49.

Lynda Percival was third to count in for the team, which finished in 12th position.

Four athletes represented Knutsford in the junior categories, with Lauren Taylor’s top 10 finish in the under 11s girls’ age class the most impressive performance.
