Crewe Vagrants 3rds 3 Knutsford 3rds 1
A YOUNG Knutsford side could not stop table-topping Crewe Vagrants on Saturday.
Ollie Lasham was unlucky not to open the scoring early on, when he was unable to finish after a mazy dribble took him from centre back to an inside right position.
Crewe were strong in the tackle and were hitting good long balls up to their experienced front men, but Knutsford’s defence stood firm.
However, a clever piece of skill saw one Crewe forward strike a diagonal ball into the D, where the recipient was able to deftly flick it goalwards and open the scoring.
Man of the match Lasham slotted home a leveller from the top of the D, but the league leaders proved clinical late on to take the victory.
