AFTER 16 years at the helm of one of Warrington’s most popular pubs and restaurants, Aiden and Sarah Byrne are bidding farewell to The Church Green.

The couple, who took over at the Lymm venue in 2008, made the “bittersweet decision” to bring their journey to an end, a journey that “has been filled with countless memories, laughter and shared moments” that they will “forever cherish”.

Chef Aiden, who at 22 was the youngest to win a Michelin star, and his wife Sarah took to social media last night to announce that they would be leaving Lymm on Sunday, May 19.

They thanked their customers, suppliers and invaluable team members for their unwavering support and commitment over the past 16 years.

Aiden said: “Your patronage and friendship have been the heart and soul of this establishment and we are endlessly grateful for the relationships we have built over the years.

“As we embark on this new chapter to pursue other opportunities, we leave knowing that The Church Green will continue to thrive under the care of another independent operator, who will undoubtedly bring their own passion and vision to this beloved space.

“We have every confidence that you will be in excellent hands, and we eagerly anticipate the exciting journey ahead for all involved.”

“Your support has been the foundation of our success, and we will forever cherish the memories we've created together.
