A DRIVER caught jumping red traffic lights has been hit with a £800 court penalty.
Brian Harris, of Styal Road, Wilmslow, pleaded guilty to the offence at Chester Magistrates’ Court on April 10.
The 80-year-old failed to comply with a red traffic signal as he drove a Ford in Churchill Way, Macclesfield, on November 20, last year.
Harris was fined £500 and ordered to pay £200 victim surcharge and £110 costs.
Magistrates took his guilty plea into consideration when imposing the sentence.
His driving licence was also endorsed with three points.
The £810 court penalty must be paid by May 6.
