AN ancient building steeped in history is set to be filled with fun and laughter.

The Courthouse, the former Knutsford Crown Court, is launching a comedy night.

An all star ‘as seen on TV’ line up features Alun Cochrane, Rob Deering, Jenny Collier and Ignacio Lopez.

Comedy at The Courthouse at 8pm on St Patrick's night, Friday, March 17, is set to be the first of many new live events.

Award-winning stand up comedian Alun Cochrane has appeared on numerous TV shows including Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Russell Howard’s Good news, Mock The Week, Dave’s One Night Stand, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Have I Got News For You and 8 out of 10 Cats.

Alan has been hailed ‘a master storyteller’ with an incredible ability to make the little things in life hilarious.

Rob Deering performs stand-up comedy with music, using a guitar, a loop pedal and his voice to create impressive rock and pop soundscapes, as well as jokes.

One of the UK’s most in-demand headliners, he has toured across the country and performed solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Ignacio Lopez has been wowing audiences internationally with his individual style.

A frequent headliner and MC in top comedy clubs all over the UK, Ignacio also performs regularly at corporate functions, private shows, military gigs, sports dinners, art centres and festivals.

In 2015 Ignacio sold out solo festival performances in Edinburgh.

Welsh Jenny Collier is a multi-award winning stand up comedian, writer and actor.

An established regular on the international club and festival circuit, Jenny has supported Jason Manford, Arthur Smith, Shappi Khorsandi and Dave Johns on their UK tours.

This gifted artist has also performed in Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, Switzerland and Australia.
