ToBi, the official Tour of Britain mascot, came to Knutsford as part of the build up to the Tour of Britain.

Stage three of the Tour comes through Knutsford and Tatton Park twice on Tuesday, September 6before finishing in front of the Mansion.

The tour is the UK’s biggest sporting event and Stage 3 takes place through Cheshire East just two days before the four-day Heritage Open Days - the UK’s biggest heritage festival – starts on Thursday, September 8, when Knutsford will participate for the first time on a town-wide basis.

“It’s such an exciting opportunity to promote Tatton Park and Knutsford’s sporting and cultural assets to a huge audience,” said Sarah Flannery of the Knutsford Promenades Community Association, which has organised Knutsford's first town-wide involvement with Heritage Open Days.

“It was great to see ToBi do 'Canute's Crossing' as part of the Knutsford Heritage Open Days celebration of 1,000 years of Knutsford's history and tradition."

"The visitor economy is essential to our prosperity and the expected record number of visitors will make this week of events a showcase for all that Tatton Park and Knutsford can offer," said Richard Milkins, Cheshire East Visitor Economy Development Manager.

Visitors will be able to see the peloton go twice through Knutsford and sweep through the majestic Knutsford Gate and up the drive to the Mansion for the exciting finish.

Tatton Park is offering free parking and free entry to the Mansion House on Tuesday, September 6, and every event of the Knutsford Heritage Open Days programme is free to visit.
