MUSICIANS from Knutsford and further afield gathered at Brook Street Club on Friday night, raising more than £500 for Children's Adventure Farm Trust.
The gig, which was organised by Hartford musician Chris Howarth, also featured Knutsford duet, Bryn and Paulo, Guardian reporter Rachel Howarth and Manchester blues band, Minor Blues.
Money was raised with the sale of Chris' album which he recorded at the end of last year, and with the £7.50 entrance fee.
Chris said: "Perhaps a little later in life than most,I have recently become interested in recording music that I had written over the years and that led to a desire to perform some of the material. However, I was keen to do this for the benefit of a local charity and that led to the event last Friday on behalf of Cheshire Adventure Farm trust.
"The musicians were all local and a combination of family and friends. Their enthusiasm and support was fantastic, as was that of Kevin Jardine and the Brook Street Club . We were all delighted with the evening and the sum of £520 that we managed to raise."
