MORE than 100 paintings from many accomplished artists feature at a Christmas art exhibition in Holmes Chapel on Saturday, December 5.
The exhibition takes place at St Luke’s Church Hall, and is being staged by the Goostrey and Holmes Chapel Art Club.
The exhibition runs from 10am to 4pm, and entrance is free.
There will be a calendar on sale produced by the art club and featuring newly-painted pictures of places of interest in Goostrey and Holmes Chapel.
The 2016 calendar costs £5, and features paintings by 12 club members, including one of Holmes Chapel Methodist Church by Sian Watts, which also features on the cover.
The calendar is the first produced by the club for a number of years, and the paintings featured were chosen by members of Goostrey WI.
The exhibition will include light refreshments of drinks and cakes and a raffle.
St Luke’s Church Hall is behind the Co-operative supermarket in the centre of the village.
Anyone who is interested in joining the art club can email susan-smith1@live.co.uk.
