A KNUTSFORD business is taking steps to promote a greener future by installing more than 100 solar panels on its roof.
Tatton Street’s Edmunson Electrical Ltd has been fitted with 144 solar panels which will service around half of its electricity requirements.
The new scheme places the firm at the top of the list for solar energy users in the town.
Andrew Fawcett, business development manager at Edmunson Electrical Ltd, said: “This is the largest solar panel system in Knutsford, if not the only one.
“We are a distributor of solar panels so we thought it was about time we did it ourselves.
“The products have come from some of our own suppliers. It should reduce our electricity bills by about half and it will substantially reduce our carbon emissions.
“Those are our main two aims, as well as our green credentials.”
