NURSES from East Cheshire Hospice will soon be in the Knutsford spotlight as stars of a new advertising campaign to thank supporters.

Pictures of them modelling for the camera will be emblazoned across sites in the town and the rest of the borough in April in a high profile show of appreciation.

Some 17 clinical staff members took part in the photo shoot by award-winning ad agency McCann Manchester who provided photography, hair and make-up free of charge at their studio near Poynton.

Ward managers, advanced nurse practitioners, sisters, staff nurses, physiotherapists, health care assistants and complementary therapists featured in various images wearing work clothes.

The campaign's aim is also to remind people to leave a gift in their Will to the Hospice.

Hospice Director Mike Pyrah said: "The adverts are public acknowledgement of the good a legacy can do. It's a chance for staff who deliver care to thank those who've left a gift in their Will to the hospice.

"It's also a message of thanks on behalf of the patients who receive that care."

"The organisation receives 'thank you' comments every day and hopefully these ads help reflect our appreciation for that kind support and goodwill.

The ad will be shown on poster sites in Knutsford, buses and in the press.

Leaflets will be widely distributed through local community and faith groups.

Mike added: "Legacy giving pays for the care of one in four patients who use the Hospice, which means the patients, their family and friends can rely on the round-the-clock support completely free of charge.

"The gift doesn't cost you a penny during your lifetime, but can be a powerful way to be remembered after you’re gone."
