AN award winning young cinematographer uses the picturesque backdrop of Knutsford in her films to help promote businesses in the area.

Fireseed Films director, Rebekah Nangle, 23, creates innovative films for companies to use on the internet.

She told the Guardian that she loves living and working in the area that she grew up in.

“I’ve had such a nice experience in this part of the country,” said Rebekah.

“The people are so nice and the companies I have spoken to are really supportive.

“I often feature Knutsford in a lot of the videos I make to promote companies because it’s a really nice place to be.”

Filmmaking has always been a passion for Rebekah.

At the age of nine she would go to her friends house where they would make films on a video camera.

Rebekah, who lives in Cheadle Lane, Plumley, said: “I went to local schools and from a young age I have always studied film, media and television.

“I went on to graduate from York St John University with a degree in film and TV production.”

During her final year, Rebekah won first prize for Best Fiction and Charlie Phillips, editor of BBC TV’s Sherlock, presented her with the award.

Rebekah then worked on a three-part ITV film called “Love Life”, as a runner.

“I always put a hundred percent into everything I do and I find all the films I work on exciting,” she added.

“It was great working with ITV, Tiger Aspect and Channel Four because I had never done it before.

“But it’s also nice to have my own company as well so I can have a lot more control over what I do and be a lot more creative.”

The next 12 months are very exciting for Rebekah and she said she is ready for a busy spring and summer.

“I want to do a lot more weddings and more of what I am doing at the moment," she said.

“I want to build on my reputation and do as best as I can because I love it.”
