POLICE are warning residents to be vigilant following reports of bogus callers in Peover.

On Wednesday March 4, the police received reports of two suspicious males knocking on doors in Parkfield Avenue at around 4pm.

The men, who were travelling in a silver S-registration Toyota, claimed to be from Cheshire East Council and asked to carry out repair work to the properties.

Officers confirmed that the vehicle does not have a connection with Cheshire East Council and are urging anyone who witnesses suspicious behaviour to contact the police by calling 101.
