LOCAL care homes are celebrating success in the Great North West Care Awards.

CLS Care Services is a charitable organisation which operates care homes across the north west, including Leycester House in Mobberley, The Cedars in Holmes Chapel and The Elms in Crewe.

CLS received the Care Employer Award at a presentation ceremony at The Palace Hotel in Manchester.

The group was chosen as one of the award winners in recognition of its strong leadership and performance management, as well as its continuing commitment to investing in its staff.

“We were impressed by the clearly passionate management team, who were hugely focused on staff well-being and performance through effective engagement,” said the judges.

Phil Orton, head of people for the CLS Group, said he was thrilled to have won the award.

“The quality of our staff is what makes CLS so successful,” he said.

“We are determined to make the quality of our workforce one of the best in the industry, and being so well represented at the Great West Care Awards is a sign that we are on the right track.”

CLS lead locality trainer Penny Mottram was a finalist in the Care Trainer Award category.
